LEGO Releases First Photos Of 'Sonic' Minifigs From New Collection

It seems more characters are joining the Sonic LEGO family. As it stands right now, only Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Dr. Eggman are represented in minifig form. However, it seems more are on the way, as LEGO revealed in a silly video that blames the evil mad scientist for production delays that Rouge and Shadow, who first appeared in the hit Dreamcast title Sonic Adventure 2, are on the way to having minifigures of their own. In addition, a new Knuckles minifig seems to be on its way as well.
Fans were greeted with four new LEGO playsets in August of this year that featured Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Dr. Eggman in minifig form along with kits to build sections of the iconic Green Hill Zone including a loop de loop that Sonic can traverse in an included ball. These sets appear to be a hit with fans, and LEGO seems to also be branching out to other properties such as the Animal Crossing franchise. There is no word on when or how these new minifigs will be released, but at least the teaser video is rather entertaining and will perhaps keep fans excited for what’s next for Sonic in the world of LEGO.
