It has been announced that Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, the sequel to the popular game, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, will become available on “Last-Gen” consoles on September 17th. Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, a contender for “Game of the Year” in 2023, was previously only made available on PC and consoles such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. On September 17th, the game will also be made available for PS4 and Xbox One.

Additionally, in the next few weeks, the PC version will get an update/patch that promises technical performance and control improvements that should improve the gameplay experience for PC gamers. In addition to being made available to a wider audience that plans on sticking with their older hardware for a while, the Last-Gen console versions will be less expensive ($50) than the current PC ($60) and console versions ($70) of the game. Pre-orders for the new console versions of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor will include an Obi-Wan Kenobi-style hermit robe and Combustion Blaster sets.

The game series features the adventures of Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan who navigates the Star Wars galaxy post-Order 66 with his trusty droid, BD-1, trying to complete his Jedi training, reconciling his past, and rebuilding the fallen Jedi Order while avoiding the dreaded Inquisitors, Force-sensitive Imperial agents assigned to hunt down and kill Jedi survivors like himself. Inquisitors have also been featured in series such as Star Wars Rebels and Kenobi. With both games having been released following Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm, the events of the original game and this sequel, set five to ten years after Revenge of the Sith respectively, are considered Canon. Tie-in novels for the game series, as well as soundtrack albums are also currently available for serious fans of the games.
