Kevin Feige, President Of Marvel Studios, Addresses SAG-AFTRA Strike
After the screen actors guild (SAG-AFTRA) joined the writers guild of America in a strike partially motivated by the presence of AI, even Marvel got hit. Upcoming shows Wonderman and Daredevil: Born Again have their filming delayed, and Marvel President Kevin Feige opened up to both organizations.
“We recognize how much you’ve all done on your specific projects and it’s disappointing when carefully laid plans have to shift, but constant change is the nature of the production business, and our teams are no stranger to unexpected challenges and rising to meet them. We deeply appreciate all your efforts to make the best of the situation, and we can all hope that a new agreement will be finalized soon so we can resume the great work we have in process.”
Marvel has completed a few projects. In addition to the currently airing Secret Invasion Disney Plus shows that have completed filming include Loki, Echo, Ironheart, and Agatha, Coven of Chaos. Completed movies include The Marvels, Deadpool 3, and Captain America: Brave New World. Works such as Blade and Thunderbolts have been delayed, however. Animated series such as Spider-Man: Freshman Year and a second season of What If…? are continuing to have work done on them.
