Jon Favreau Confirms 'The Mandalorian' Season Four

Jon Favreau at the debut of 'The Mandalorian'

Star Wars Celebration has kept busy with announcements this weekend! After announcing that The Mandalorian season three set to air in February of 2023 and giving fans a sneak peek at the trailer, Executive Producer of the show Jon Favreau sat down with Cinema Blend to discuss the extremely popular Disney+ series. In this interview he has confirmed that he is currently developing the script for season four while his partner Dave Filoni hammers away at Ahsoka. He said this in his interview with Eric Eisenberg of Cinema Blend:

“With television, we're very lucky that we don't have to rush things through into an hour-and-a-half, two hours. We get to tell stories slowly. So now, as Dave [Filoni]'s doing Ahsoka, it's very much informing the writing that I'm doing for [The Mandalorian] Season 4. It becomes – how should I put it – more precise.”

It’s no surprise that one of Disney’s streaming services biggest shows would be continuing with another season, but it is quite interesting that he adds that the direction Filoni is taking with Ahsoka is “informing” his writing for the fourth season. It seems now more than ever that all these Filoni/Favreau shows are connected creating their own shared universe with these TV series!
