"It's Been The Privilege Of A Lifetime" – Dee Bradley Baker Contemplates Season Three Of 'The Bad Batch'
Veteran voice actor Dee Bradley Baker has certainly been one of the many voices of many a childhood, and his inclusion within the Star Wars franchise is no exception. Starting with his appearance in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Baker brought his presence by voicing ALL of the Republic’s clones and many other characters in the series such as Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Senator Onaconda Farr, and others. This ability to immerse himself as scores of characters simultaneously led Baker to a similar path in The Bad Batch to voice each of the unique characters: Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Echo, and Tech.
Clone Force 99, otherwise known as the titular Bad Batch, has been through so much as has the man who effortlessly brings them to life. Surviving the Clone Wars and the humble beginnings leading to the galactic rebellion, The Bad Batch is right in the middle of the aftermath of Order 66 and the Empire gaining power. Feeling a mix of emotions and facing separate existential crises, Baker seamlessly conveys the potent mix of hopelessness, the destruction of past beliefs, and the emergence of a power eager to cast them aside. Baker himself states, “I’m excited. I'm gratified. I'm thrilled, really. I'm also a little bit sad, but mostly I'm thrilled to see this brought in for a landing, and mostly because I can't wait to hear fans' reactions to how much they're going to love it and how good this is.”

A series with a permanent place in his heart, Baker has shared nothing but love and respect for the characters he brought to life and the show. Even after Tech sacrificed himself to save the rest of the Bad Batch, Baker’s talent in conveying a distinct personality with each Bad Batch member makes him a talent within the Star Wars universe in his own right.
Upon the release of the third and final season, Baker has been confident about the series finale. While saddened his time on the beloved show will end, he commends his time on the show as “a life well-lived”. Amidst the “deeply bereft and stricken” fans, Baker commends the fans who made the series such a pleasure to be a part of and the “beautiful job by [executive producers] Brad [Rau] and Jen [Corbett] and Dave [Filoni] and everyone involved with [The Bad Batch]”.
With a 100% success rate, the Bad Batch honors the legacy of CT 99. As The Bad Batch comes to an end, Dee Bradley Baker will honor Tech, Crosshair, Wrecker, Echo, and Hunter as well as the clones who became fan favorites within the Star Wars fandom and universe.
