Hideo Kojima's 'Death Stranding' Will Be Adapted Into A Movie
Hideo Kojima has always said he was influenced by Hollywood movies, so now it looks like one of his games is going to become a movie. That’s right, Death Stranding has a film adaptation in the works. The game is noted for its complex narrative, and even more complex gameplay. How well this will translate to the big screen remains to be seen, but one should keep in mind that the game already has a blockbuster-worthy cast. Featuring the likes of Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Guillermo del Toro, Léa Seydoux, and Margaret Qualley, the game seems like it was made to be a big-budget movie.
That’s all the information we have regarding the movie. Development has likely already begun, while filming won’t begin for a long time. Of course, you can still play the original Death Stranding on the Playstation 4, the director’s cut on Playstation 5, or wait for the in-development sequel. Hideo Kojima has a long history of video games dating back to the 80s, most famously, the Metal Gear series. Heavily influenced by the cinema of the time, Metal Gear exploded in popularity with Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation. If you’re interested in Hideo Kojima’s work, try checking it out.
