The Assassin’s Creed franchise has never shied away from including real-life people in their games. While the events that transpire may be a bit exaggerated, the characters are very real. This includes many famous names, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Charles Dickens, and Socrates. Surprisingly, one of these names includes recently-deceased war criminal Henry Kissinger. We all know that art imitates life, so it shouldn’t be shocking that he is also a bad guy in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

During the events of Brotherhood, various rifts of history started to appear, thanks to an unraveling of their virtual reality system. Throughout the games, you find out that Templars have been vying for power ever since their formation, so it’s no surprise they started infiltrating government systems. When Ezio finds one of these rifts, he learns that Henry Kissinger was working with the Templars, during the Nixon and Ford presidencies. There is even a photo of him and Ford within this rift.

While this little puzzle is completely optional, it’s a must for anyone who wants to explore everything the game has to offer. It also shows that anyone could’ve been working with the Templars to achieve power, but considering who Kissinger was, it’s not too unrealistic that he would end up working with this terrible organization, at least according to Assassin’s Creed lore.
