While many other projects have been shelved at DC, The Penguin has been cruising along right on schedule. In fact, the show has added four actors to its cast.

They are Rhenzy Feliz (The RunawaysEncanto), Michael Kelly (Jack RyanHouse of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse, Star Trek Beyond), and Diedre O’Connell (Outer Range). There are no official details as to what roles any of them will play, although there have been rumors that Feliz is set to play a teen who befriends Farrell’s Oswald Cobblepot and eventually becomes his driver. Few other details have been announced regarding the series since it was first greenlit back in March of 2022. The series will take place one week after The Batman and chronicle Cobblepot’s struggle for power in the criminal underworld. The movie will also lead into The Batman Part 2 to add some details and context you don’t get simply from the films.

They join the previously-announced Farrell and Cristin Milioti, who will play Sofia Falcone, the daughter of frequent Batman adversary Carmine Falcone. Filming is set to begin this month in New York and will be released sometime between late this year or early 2024.
