'Godzilla: Minus One' Is Releasing On Streaming In Japan
Godzilla’s nuclear origin is once again relevant, as he is blowing up in popularity. Godzilla: Minus One, the Academy Award-winning film is going be be released to streaming service Amazon Prime Video in Japan on May 3rd. In addition to the assumed coloured version, the film will also be available in black and white.
The 2023 film directed by Takashi Yamazaki, focuses on Gozdilla’s WWII origin and build-up, beginning in 1945, and currently scores an 8.3 on IMDB and a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes in both audience approval and with critics. The critic’s consensus is “With engaging human stories anchoring the action, Godzilla Minus One is one kaiju movie that remains truly compelling between the scenes of mass destruction.” The audience one is “An instant classic addition to the franchise, Godzilla Minus One has terrific special effects and a really entertaining story to match.” Actors with notable roles include Ryunosuke Kamiki Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki. The consensus from fans is that this is the best appearance the character has had in decades.
As of now, there is no date set for a release in other countries, although there is speculation that there will be one announced soon.
