‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Sequel Goes Back To Its Roots In New York City With A New Trailer
CinemaCon kicked off on April 24th, bringing a lot of news across a range of topics. In an exclusive teaser shown during Sony’s panel, the audience got a first look at the follow-up to Ghostbusters: Afterlife, currently known as Firehouse. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the teaser showed the main cast lineup of Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd in the iconic uniform living together in the New York Ghostbuster Firehouse. This footage has not been released to the public.
Ghostbusters: Firehouse will see the return of Jason Reitman, this time to mainly write as his co-writer Gil Kenan will be directing. Ernie Hudson, who played Winston Zeddemore in the original Ghostbusters, stated that the film has a “great script” in an interview with SiriusXM. Further details about the movie are being kept under wraps.

This Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel is looking at a December 20th, 2023 release. A proper teaser trailer is likely to come soon if this targeted premiere date remains.
