Mark Hamill Confirms That He Will Not Be Attending Star Wars Celebration Due To Scheduling Conflicts
Star Wars Celebration is happening in a month and a lot of actors have already confirmed their presence: Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid, Carl Weathers, Dee Bradley Baker, Giancarlo Esposito, and Ewan McGregor, among others. However, a special one has just confirmed his absence: Mark Hamill.
Sorry I won't be able to join you this year at #StarWarsCelebration. I am out of the country filming Mike Flanagan's #TheFallOfTheHouseOfUsher until early July. Have a wonderful time! I'll be with you in spirit while my actual body will be elsewhere.

Hamill has a good reason. He is currently shooting the next project of Mike Flanagan, one of the best horror directors of the moment. Flanagan has already filmed Doctor Sleep, Gerald’s Sleep, Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and most recently Midnight Mass. The Fall of the House of Usher will have eight episodes and is based on the short story by Edgar Allan Poe. The Netflix series will also include Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, and Carla Gugino. Mark Hamill’s specific role is still unknown.
Star Wars Celebration will take place on May 26-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Hopefully, fans will hear long-awaited news about Star Wars: Visions Season 2, Jedi: Fallen Order 2, The Bad Batch Season 2, a rumored animated project called Tales of the Jedi, a possible Andor trailer, the official casting of Ahsoka, and a trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3, among others. Although Mark Hamill will be greatly missed, it is always great news that he is involved in big projects and we are sure to have a Star Wars celebration full of surprises.
