Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 world premiere has revealed that the film will focus on the origin of Rocket Racoon. The final volume will tie up the Guardians’ loose ends and complete James Gunn’s Marvel films.
During the world premiere, James Gunn discusses the importance of finding yourself. Furthermore, how the Guardians grew throughout the films will display how a found family can grow. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will redevelop Gamora’s relationship with the other Guardians and Nebula after the events of the Infinity War, which will expand Nebula’s character by allowing her to move on from the chaos ensued by Thanos. Kraglin and Cosmo will join the film as official members of the Guardians. Drax will cover his chest with a designed sleeveless hoodie, and Mantis will feature many more fighting scenes in the final volume.

One exciting announcement from the Guardians world premiere is the announced LEGO sets. The first new LEGO set is the Volume 3 ship, featuring 1108 individual pieces. The set also includes Star-Lord, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, and Adam Warlock. Another LEGO set is Baby Rocket’s ship, which will feature 330 LEGO pieces including Rocket and Baby Rocket. The last LEGO set on the list is a release from the Guardians Holiday Special, including 268 pieces. This set features festive versions of the Guardians. Additionally, Marvel Legends announced a new Star-Lord roleplay helmet with glowing eyes. A Groot mask was also revealed with the ability to say “I am Groot” in fifteen different ways.
Each of the Guardians said goodbye in their way. For Karen Gillian, the role of Nebula was too good to pass up. She told fans she shaved her head for Guardians of the Galaxy, even though no one asked. One of the coolest moments was Vin Diesel’s appearance, where he discussed his personal experiences as Groot. He revealed that when James Gunn gave him his script for Groot, it not contain merely “I am Groot”; instead, it included every word that Groot wanted to say. Sometimes Groot would have entire paragraphs. This special script was invaluable to Vin Diesel’s performance.
