Though things didn’t go as planned for Wanda Maximoff (played by Elizabeth Olsen) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she’s a top-notch sorceress, after all. Throw in the unlimited possibilities of the multiverse, and we wouldn’t be surprised if she’s back on the screen soon. And then there’s that unfinished business with the other powerful sorceress, Agatha Harkness, a.k.a Agnes (played by Kathryn Hahn) from WandaVision, which makes it natural for us to wonder if we are going to see Wanda in the upcoming spinoff, Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

When asked at the Deadline SXSW studio if she’ll be back as Wanda in the new series, Olsen acted all evasive but hinted that she might be back! She told Deadline, “I don’t know how to ever answer these questions, except – I think I’ll be back?”

The finale of WandaVision revealed that Wanda and Vision’s nosy neighbor, Agnes, in Westview was ‘Agatha All Along,’ a powerful witch who was jealous of Wanda’s natural flair for chaos magic. Agatha made a decent attempt at stealing Wanda’s powers but was defeated by the Scarlet Witch and trapped in her Agnes avatar at the end of the miniseries. Agatha: Coven of Chaos could potentially portray the chaos that Agatha would surely unleash once she is freed from Wanda’s magical hold. We anticipate that she could definitely seek Wanda out to get her revenge. However, in the grand scheme of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), we are always eagerly ready for surprises.

As part of the fifth phase of the MCU, the first season of Agatha: Coven of Chaos is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in late 2023 or early 2024 and will have nine episodes.
