Could 'Kenobi' Concept Art Hint At Video Game Character Movie Debut?

Star Wars fans have a lot to speculate about following the release of the concept art for the up and coming Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Some of the artwork has shown a character who looks eerily similar to a major villain from the video game Jedi: Fallen Order. Known to gamers as the Second Sister, the internet is abuzz about whether or not she could be making the transition from the world of gaming to the world of television. This would be the first instance where an original character in a game makes a transition to a role in a film or television series.

For those who do not know much about the character, she was a former Padawan turned dark by the name of Trilla Suduri. She was captured and tortured after the execution of Order 66 and the fall of the Jedi Order. Her hatred of the Jedi came from the fact that her own master gave up her whereabouts while he himself was being tortured. During the events of Fallen Order, she ruthlessly pursued protagonist Cal Kestis, who fans have also expressed interest in seeing in a live-action adaptation.

In the game, Trilla and Cal were both after the same prize. They wanted to secure a Jedi holocron that contained the names of surviving Force-sensitive children. Cal wanted it for good, while Trilla had darker and more sinister intentions. While they both pursued the holocron it was not until late in the game that you (playing as Cal) face off against Trilla. The holocron in question was destroyed to protect the names of the children from falling into the wrong hands.

It is not new territory for Star Wars to pursue a story of a former Jedi who turned to the Dark Side. This has been a recurring theme throughout the entire saga. The appearance of Trilla would serve as a little Easter Egg treat for fans who played through the game and completed it. With that being said, some fans may take a second to remember the end of the game. If you have not played Jedi: Fallen Order, then THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

At the end of the game, Trilla was essentially killed by Darth Vader. While players never saw the actual death take place since Cal ran from the impending doom of Vader, players know that Vader is not the type to take kindly to betrayal.

So while the Inquisitor in question seen in the concept art may not be Trilla Suduri, it is a fun thing for fans to speculate about who it may be and compare notes on all the reasons why it may in fact be her. Her story could lend itself well to Obi-Wan being in exile and trying to protect the Force-sensitive Luke that he had brought to Tatooine. Fans may have also noticed that actress Elizabeth Grullón who played Trilla in the game has neither confirmed nor denied her involvement in the upcoming series. She reposted some fans' posts who pointed out the similarities. It may be further clarified when a trailer for the series finally drops.

If the writers can somehow come up with an interesting take on how Trilla could have survived the events of the game, it would be thrilling for fans to see characters from the game crossover. While plot details have been quiet, aside from the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, it is certainly fun to speculate and check out all the cool theories on social media. With nothing confirmed on who will appear or not in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series,  fans have plenty of time to deduce whether or not the first ever game to live-action crossover will occur.
