Disney Shares New Concept Art And Brings Animated Series 'Dragon Striker' And 'The Doomies' To Disney+ Starting In 2024
Disney has announced two new animated series exclusively for its flagship streaming service, Disney+, that will be coming soon, The Doomies and Dragon Striker. While Disney has produced no shortage of original animated series for their audience, Disney Europe Animation will be producing these series, something that Orion Ross, vice president of Animation, Disney EMEA, is very excited about:
“‘The Doomies’ and ‘Dragon Striker’ are the first part of a new slate of animated originals we’re developing in EMEA for global family audiences on Disney Channel and Disney+. These ambitious, premium series will introduce the work of leading creators from our region to the world, and we are both honored and inspired to be working with this new generation of storytellers.”
As for a description of the series, The Doomies is a supernatural comedy series featuring two best friends, Bobby and Romy, who accidentally open up a gateway to another world, which threatens their quiet little town and forces them to do battle with the monsters and other mayhem they have unwittingly unleashed on their unsuspecting community. Dragon Striker is an action-adventure series that combines a bunch of kids playing soccer with magic and battling supernatural forces to prevent the return of an ancient evil. As of right now, there is no word on a release date for The Doomies, although it is slated to have twenty-two half-hour episodes. Dragon Striker is slated for a 2023 release; however, no specific date has been announced.
