Disney Reveals Launch Date And Episode Load For 'Loki' Season Two And 'Echo'
Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe pushes on as Kevin Feige announced the premiere dates for Loki and Echo on Tuesday at Disney Upfront. Loki’s second season will debut on October 6, and Echo will debut with her own series on November 29. Feige shared his pride in Loki being the studio’s first, second season on Disney+. Tom Hiddleston is slated to return as the MCU’s god of mischief, with Owen Wilson and Sophia DiMartino slated to return as Mobius and Sylvie.
Missing from the announcement was the return of Jonathan Majors as the MCU’s latest big-bad villain, Kang. On March 25 of this year, Majors was arrested on domestic violence charges and is awaiting a court date in New York City in June. Majors claims he is innocent and denies all charges. Majors debuted in the MCU as He Who Remains in the final episodes of Loki season one. From there, he portrayed a variant of the time-traveling conqueror in February’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Echo will star Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, a Native American assassin introduced to fans in 2021’s Disney+ series Hawkeye, which starred Jeremy Renner. Fans highly anticipate the show due to the casting of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk and Charlie Cox as Daredevil, who will be returning in a new series, Daredevil: Born Again.
This announcement comes when Marvel Studios is slowing down the volume of projects released into theatres and on Disney+ after releasing 11 titles during 2021 and 2022. Other series which are slated to release this year is Secret Invasion starring Samuel L. Jackson as the fan-beloved Nick Fury, along with the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever spinoff Ironheart and WandaVision spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
