With so many films being delayed or cut entirely, it is exciting to hear that Disney is moving up the release of New Regency/ 20th Century’s David O. Russell film, Amersterdam. Originally scheduled to hit theaters on November 4th, the film will now release on October 7th.

Hello, World!

According to the trailer released earlier this summer, the film follows three best friends, two soldiers and a nurse, who met years ago in Amsterdam and always promised to protect each other “no matter what.” However, this promise is tested when the three witness a murder they are accused of committing. The film follows the trio as they attempt to clear their names and evade the real killer.

Set in the 1930s, Amsterdam is written, directed, and produced by Russell and features a killer cast, including Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rober De Niro, Chris Rock, and Anya Taylor-Joy.

The film was originally the only wide release slotted for November 4th until Disney announced the November 11th release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Moving the film to October 7th will see it share the wide release with Sony’s family-friendly film Lyle, Lyle Crocodile

Are you looking forward to Amsterdam hitting theaters almost a month early?
