"Deleted Scene" From 'Deadpool & Wolverine' Has Hugh Jackman Quoting Iconic Deadpool Line Using The Brando Method
When making a movie like Deadpool & Wolverine, one can expect the dialogue to be as off-the-wall as the action. It's hard not to, especially when making a movie involving a comically serious superhero and a comically unserious anti-hero. While Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have certainly earned their roles through years of proving their acting, one can only imagine how bored they can get when given the "standard" acting roles. Fortunately, it seems as if the recent film featuring the two has allowed them some elbow room to have some fun.
In a "deleted scene" of Deadpool & Wolverine, Jackman is shown saying Logan's iconic quote from the comics; "I'm the best there is at what I do... but what I do isn't very nice." While it's a powerful line of dialogue from the mutant-born superhero, the serious impact it leaves makes way for a humorous one when the camera cuts to Deadpool wearing a board with the quote written on it. Affectionately, Ryan Reynolds refers to this as "The Brando Method", based on the actor of the same name.
While the consensus is that this scene was created for marketing purposes, scenes such as this show the dynamic between Wolverine and Deadpool rather humorously. Not only that, but they can whet the whistle of anyone who is planning on watching Deadpool & Wolverine, which is still currently in theaters.
