As with most major life lessons, the older you get, you start to realize a few things. And as a fan of pop culture and celebrity, you start to notice that your favourite actors appear to be getting older and they may not be around films or TV or even with us much longer. But all we can do is enjoy what we can with these great actors now. Sometimes though, life has a way of stopping those from enjoying what they love to do and the great and wickedly talented Dame Judi Dench has come out to let everyone know about her struggles acting these days.

In an interview with the Mirror Dench talked about how she has a lot of difficulty seeing now and it is affecting her ability to read and perform, “I mean I can’t see on a film set anymore and I can’t see to read. So I can’t see much. But you know you just deal with it. Get on.” She continued, “It’s difficult for me if I have any length of a part. I haven’t yet found a way. Because I have so many friends who will teach me the script. But I have a photographic memory.”

And based on her comments, we may get to see even less of her now which we haven’t seen her in a role since 2021. Dench has had a storied career in Hollywood with notable roles in Shakespeare, playing a Queen, which garnered her an Oscar, to playing the head of MI6 in the James Bond franchise, she has certainly marched to the beat of her own drum and endeared herself to fans across all genres. Hopefully, she can find a way to stay in this business and we hope to see her back onto the big screen.
