Corey Burton Opens Up About The Future Of Cad Bane In 'Star Wars'
During an interview with ComicBook.com about Tales of the Jedi, Corey Burton talked of the relationship between Boba Fett and Cad Bane, and the future of the blue-skinned bounty hunter.
Burton, who had voiced Cad Bane in The Clone Wars and The Book of Boba Fett, talked of the great rivalry between the two bounty hunters, and how Bane “wants to be always the dominant bounty hunter.” The encounter between the two in the live-action series ended with Fett killing Bane on Tatooine, but Burton says that might not be his end.

Burton likens Bane to Frankenstein, and how no matter how many times you might see the character die, there’s always the possibility that they return. “…the more evil the character, the more likely it is that maybe he’s not gone.” Burton then talks about how nothing is certain. “Dave doesn’t tell me anything, he wouldn’t, and I don’t want to know. It would be fantastic, but I really don’t have any idea.”
Should Cad Bane be making a return, Burton will know before fans. Though even if Bane were to return, it wouldn’t necessarily be after the events of The Book of Boba Fett. As Tales of the Jedi has shown, exploring a character’s past can be just as rewarding as their present.
