Check Out These New Variant Covers For Marvel's 'Star Wars: Hidden Empire'
Charles Soule, the author of Darth Vader, War of the Bounty Hunters, and Crimson Reign comic series, among other Star Wars novels, is bringing his epic trilogy to a close with Hidden Empire. Today, Marvel comics released images of the variant covers, drawn by Steven Cummings, who also did the art for Crimson Reign.
The five-issue limited series will continue to feature Qi’ra and the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate. As one of the breakout characters from Solo: A Star Wars Story, Qi’ra continues her daring plan to free the galaxy of the Sith.

Marvel Comics describes the series on its website:
“The mysterious syndicate Crimson Dawn and its leader Lady Qi'ra have become the galaxy's most wanted criminals, as Emperor Palpatine realizes the scope of Qi'ra's plans against him and moves to destroy her. But Qi’ra still has tricks up her sleeve, and with the help of the Knights Of Ren and her many other allies, she will not go down without a fight!”
As with Crimson Reign, Cummings’ five variant covers, when placed together, make one continuous piece featuring several of the characters who have played a large part in the trilogy. Fans will be treated to Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, the Knights of Ren, and of course Qi’ra. The artwork features the characters in the foreground, with numerous ships and the Crimson Dawn emblem in the background.
Crimson Dawn was a crime syndicate created by Maul. After Maul’s death on Tatooine, Qi’ra became the leader of the Crimson Dawn. Soule chronicled Qi’ra and the return of Crimson Dawn in War of the Bounty Hunters, and Crimson Reign. The trilogy will conclude with Hidden Empire.
Hidden Empire Issue #1 hits newsstands and comic book shops on Wednesday, November 16th, and features its own variant cover featuring Darth Maul, drawn by Arthur Adams.
