Cassian Show Finished Filming
One of the most anticipated projects for the Star Wars is the Cassian Andor TV show. Titled Star Wars: Andor, the show is going to center around the popular character Cassian Andor, whom we first saw in the very successful Rogue One. Andor is to be set before the events of Rogue One and will serve as a prequel to movie following the life of Cassian in his early days with the Rebel Alliance.
Cassian had a very tragic backstory within Star Wars; he reveals this to Jyn Erso over the course of Rogue One, saying that he has struggled against the Empire for his whole life starting as early as six years old. During the events of Rogue One, we see Cassian as a a very much the ends will justify the means type of fighter who will stop at nothing to achieve peace in the galaxy. With that in mind, Andor presents a great chance to flesh out the story of one of the franchise's most intriguing morally grey characters.

Star Wars scooper Bespin Bulletin has recently reported that filming for Andor has wrapped. Their source has claimed that various members of production having their own wrap parties and confirmed that filming had concluded. Check out this snippet of the article on Bespin Bulletin that appears to confirm this.
"After speaking with multiple sources I can confirm that Andor has finally wrapped.
Last week I checked in with my Pinewood Studios sources on the Andor production on August 18th and they were very much still busy filming which I first mentioned on my podcast, BOB The Podcast earlier this week. On August 20th I checked in once again to learn that multiple cast members had wrapped, including some that had been filming for several months, but did not get confirmation that the production was finished or that leading man Diego Luna had concluded filming. However over the weekend sources gave me the green light on Luna, referenced various members of production having their own wrap parties and confirmed that filming had concluded. I’ve even been fortunate enough to see some sets being taken down.
After a long grueling shoot, I firmly believe that filming for Andor is finally over."
Andor is slightly different from the other Star Wars TV projects because the majority of it has been filmed on location, whereas other shows like The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series were all filmed on a VR volume set. Because this has been the case and Andor has a lot of outdoor location, set leaks have been much more common for this series than the others. And from the leaks we have seen so far, we can tell the series is definitely taking its design cues from Rogue One.
We do not know much about the plot of Andor as of yet. The only thing we really have to go off of is a sizzle reel that was released last year that seemed to suggest the show would share a lot of beats with the spy thriller genre. So this may mean we will get a mission of the week type feel with our hero undertaking various tasks to help the rebels fight and undermine the Empire. We may even see some flashbacks to the life of an even younger Cassian growing up during conflict.
Like most upcoming TV shows or movies, it is fun to speculate on what may be coming. However, in reality, all we can really do is wait with bated breath and see what happens when the show hits our screens.
