'Captain America: Brave New World' Is Getting More Reshoots, Confirmed By Giancarlo Esposito
Hollywood is currently no stranger to reshoots. Among the many films needing the additional footage is the upcoming MCU flick Captain America: Brave New World, which will be the first movie to focus on Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as Captain America, taking the mantle from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. A large portion of the movie will be Sam trying to live up to Rogers’ gigantic legacy, similar to the show Falcon And The Winter Solider.
The movie originally finished filming in 2023, but recently, Matthew Orton, who was the writer and consulting producer on Moon Knight, was hired to write additional scenes. These additional scenes, if rumours are to be believed, feature Giancarlo Esposito, known for his role as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian. He will be playing Sidewinder. "You will see me do things that you've never seen me do before." Esposito said, calling his character "a scientist; a great mind" and a "badass".
Another actor making his HCU debut in the movie is Harrison Ford, who will be taking over the role of Thunderbolt Ross, who was previously played by the late William Hurt. Ford will also play Ross’ alter-ego, Red Hulk, who will be making his first appearance in this movie. The film will make its debut on February 14, 2025, in theatres.
