'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Is The Most Watched Marvel Movie On Disney+

According to Disney Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the most-watched Marvel film based on the number of hours streamed in the first five days of its being released on Disney+. The film which is directed by Ryan Coogler launched on Disney+ on February 1st 2023 after being released in theaters on November 11, 2022. It is important to note that Disney did not provide any specific viewing numbers over the first five days and the claim is based on its internal measurements.

The sequel to Black Panther takes place following the death of King T’Challa and also features the country of Wakanda having to combat the arrival of Namor. The movie also showcases Shuri taking on the mantle of The Black Panther. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been nominated for five academy awards. While the film did not receive a nomination for best picture Angela Bassett did receive a nomination for Best Supporting Actress which makes her the Marvel actor to be nominated for the award.  Disney+ subscribers can also watch more behind footage about the film starting on February 8th.
