'Baldur's Gate 3' Sets A New Concurrent User Record As It Becomes Highest Rated PC Game Of All Time
It’s been just over two weeks since the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the reception couldn’t be any better. The reviews are simply glowing; it’s scoring highly with gamers and critics alike. Metacritic currently has the RRPG game sitting at 9.2/10 (user score) and 97/100 (critic reviews), and GamesRadar has called Baldur’s Gate 3 “a new gold standard for RRPG.” This makes it the highest-rated PC game of all time, beating Half-Life 2 and Disco Elysium: The Final Cut.
Players are praising how Baldur’s Gate 3 has translated Dungeons and Dragons style gameplay, without any microtransactions or any other in-game purchases. The game has movie script-level plots and dialogue, and all of the whimsy that you’d expect of anything associated with D&D.

Their only previous mainstream venture is the Divinity series (Divine Divinity: Original Sin) on Steam. However, if their success with Balder’s Gate 3 is any indication of their ambition, then they are one to watch for the future.
