Anne Heche has just passed away at age 53. Born in Aurora, Ohio in the year 1969, she began her career in the soap opera Another World, in which she played the twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love, a role she won 2 Soapies and a daytime Emmy for. As the ’80s gave way to the ’90s, she found herself acting in several high-profile films, including the crime drama Donnie Brasco, in which she played Maggie Pistone, the disaster film Volcano, in which she played Dr. Amy Barnes, the slasher film I Know What You Did Last Summer, in which she played Melissa "Missy" Egan, the action comedy film Six Days, Seven Nights, where she played Robin Monroe, the drama-thriller film Return to Paradise, where she played Beth McBride, and, most infamously, the horror remake Psycho, in which she played Marion Crane.

After that, she mostly played in independent movies like Birth, as well as several live-action shows. Younger audiences, however, know her best for her work on The Legend of Korra, in which she played Suyin Beifong. Her death was the result of a car accident a week ago, which left her with severe injuries and resulted in her swift hospitalization. She is survived by two children and other relatives and will be missed dearly.
