An Anthology Of Short Films Called 'Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire' Is Coming To Disney+ On July 5th
At the recent Annecy Festival, which is a celebration solely for animation, Disney+ just announced they would be releasing a new and exclusive series based in Africa this July in a new trailer showcasing the show's animation.
The trailer shows off different animation styles while giving fans an idea of what the show is about. It gives a view of the vast landscapes and an idea of the different characters that will be a part of the story. Included in the trailer is a peek at ships and interesting futuristic weapons, as well as the story structure. Similar to another Disney+ original Star Wars: Visions, Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire will be ten different stories culminating into an anthology series that is said to “Ignite the world.”

As stated in a Collider article, during an interview when the show was initially announced streaming, President Michael Paull had this to say about the upcoming series:
“We are bringing the work of a visionary new generation of African filmmakers to Disney+. In addition to delivering thrilling animation for fans of all ages, this collection of ten original films taps into the Afrofuturism phenomenon..”
Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire is a ten-part animated series that will take viewers through Africa in a futuristic setting. According to IMDB, the synopsis for the show is:
“Follows a set of characters through a dystopian future, in some cases through time travel, other worlds, and alien beings, all through the lens of African culture.”
Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire will be available on Disney+ only on July 5th.
