All New 'SonicThe Hedgehog' LEGO Sets Announced, Complete With Improved Eggman And Dash Spin

Seems that there’s more cool Sonic stuff speeding our way! New Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO sets have been announced. These sets include Sonic’s Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge, Tails’ Workshop and Tornado Plane, Amy’s Animal Rescue Island, and Sonic’s Speed Sphere. The sets were announced in a trailer posted on the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel.
The figures included in these sets are Sonic, Tails, Amy, and a new and improved Eggman figure. This new figure for the rotund scientist sports an improved mustache from his previous LEGO outing.

Rather than an abstract angular shape, Eggman’s mustache is fully defined with all the evil and charm it deserves. This is also far from the first time Sonic has made an appearance in the world of LEGO. Sonic made his LEGO debut in the 2016 Toys to Life game LEGO Dimensions and was featured in level packs meant for use in the game. In 2021, a Sonic Mania-themed LEGO set was released to commemorate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The set was designed by UK LEGO builder Toastergirl as part of the LEGO Ideas program that allows LEGO fans to submit their own designs for sets and have them judged by their peers for a chance to become a real LEGO set. Previous examples include Central Perk from Friends and a set inspired by the 1968 Beatles film Yellow Submarine.
These new LEGO sets are set to release on August 1st of this year and will range in price from $34.99 to $99.99.
