Alden Ehrenreich Says He Is Open To Return To 'Star Wars' As Han Solo
Taking on any Star Wars character is no easy feat, especially when it’s a fan-favorite who has a long history as it is. Alden Ehrenreich stepped up to the plate as Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story and faced everything head-on, doing a great job along the way. In a recent interview with IndieWire, Ehrenreich expressed an interest in reprising the role, taking Han Solo on new adventures from his youth.
To IndieWire, the actor expressed his feelings regarding the story of Solo itself as well as an interest in the future, stating, “The story that I did, I really got to be Han Solo at the end. That’s kind of the arc of the story, which I thought was well done. That’s the fun part. That’s the guy that’s the most fun to be. I’d be very happy to.” The future of this avenue is questionable at best, and the actor acknowledges this, tacking on “but who knows,” to his thoughts.

When Solo had first come out, there was a bit of backlash. Giving characters such as Han Solo and Lando Calrissian any sort of prequel content will rile some fans, as they’re legacy characters with a long history already established. Ehrenreich didn’t let the backlash ruin his experience!
There is no guarantee for a future, but the film’s titular actor has expressed interest if the avenue is pursued. Alden Ehrenreich recently starred alongside Phoebe Dynevor in Fair Play, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. He also has a role in the upcoming movie Cocaine Bear and Marvel Studios’ Ironheart, making 2023 quite the busy year.
