Marvel Snap hit the market on PC and mobile platforms on October 18th, and it’s quickly become a big hit! The game was published by Nuverse and developed by Second Dinner, and of course, Marvel Entertainment also had a hand in bringing this card-battling game to the market. At launch alone, the card game had a total of 1,000 Marvel Universe characters at their player’s fingertips with stunning art to each one. In addition, the highly anticipated battler is easy to play and pick up, making it popular right off the bat.

Marketed as the “fastest card battler in the Multiverse,” players build a dream team for a 1v1 multiplayer match that requires you to collect cards on mobile and PC. It all relies on strategy! A deck will consist of 12 cards, and games will last 6 rounds. There are three sections on the board to fight for, but the locations are randomly generated and revealed one by one in the first three rounds. You, as the player, plan and queue your actions simultaneously with each round and spend energy playing cards in specific locations. Your goal is to have more power than your opponents.

RELATED:

The stakes of the game are cubes that affect your overall ranking. Players have the option to “Snap,” which doubles the stakes of the match for the rest of the game. Your challenger has the option to do the same. If you win, you receive two cubes. If you both snap, there are eight cubes for the taking. This game also requires knowing when you might not win - doing so allows you to retreat from a doomed match and lose fewer winnings than wasting your time trying to survive a clearly bad match. For most rounds in Marvel Snap, it all comes down to the final round.

It is worth noting that Marvel Snap currently only has a single game mode, and that’s ranked. Ranked gameplay primarily grants you bragging rights about how fantastic your collection may be, but only having a ranked gameplay has probably driven some potential players in the opposite direction simply due to the lack of ability to play along with friends. After all, who else would like to kick a friend’s butt with Captain America on your side? You’ll be happy to know that non-ranked gameplay IS on the roadmap for improving Marvel Snap, and we can’t wait to see where it takes this game!

The game takes skill, anticipation, and planning to be successful! It’s a fresh card collector game with a fun use of Marvel characters to lead you to victory.

You can battle with your favorite heroes on Marvel Snap for free right now on PC and mobile!
