A New Promotional Trailer Of DC’s ‘Stargirl’ Released, Teasing Season 3
So here we are. The three remaining Arrowverse shows are now all confirmed to be on three separate Earths. As Superman & Lois aired its second season finale on Tuesday night, we were treated to the teaser for the third season of Stargirl. It was only 20 seconds long, but we saw Stargirl (whose real name is Courtney Whitmore) reuniting with her apparently not-dead-after-all father Sylvester Pemberton (Starman) and how he is going to train and develop her “heroing” skills. Whether this was genuine or he came back wrong or he was just an impostor, we will just have to wait until Season 3 to find out. Personally, I am having trouble believing it is not either of the last two scenarios.

For its first two seasons, Stargirl was something of The CW summer show, debuting in May 2020 in the slot previously held by The Flash after it finished its sixth season. Its second season subtitled Summer School aired from August to November last year, leading into The Flash Season 8’s “Armageddon” event.
A few years ago there was talk that The CW would drop fall and summer schedules to be more year-round. However, the pandemic may have caused the network to make an informal adoption of such. Then, it was revealed this past May that Stargirl will actually be on the network’s fall schedule. In fact, it will take over The Flash’s Wednesday 8 PM timeslot when the third season returns this year.
The teaser ended with “Coming soon,” probably pointing to October as has been typical of The CW. Be on the lookout for more DCTV news to come.
