A First Look At Anthony Ramos' Marvel Villain For 'Ironheart' Has Released

Anthony Ramos

New images from the upcoming Disney+ Ironheart series have surfaced, and in them, it is possible to see Anthony Ramos’ character. Ramos, who can be seen in a comic-book accurate outfit, is set to play Parker Robbins, better known as Hood in the Marvel universe. If Ramos’ role in the show wasn’t confirmed until now, these pictures from the set give us further proof that Hood will be in Ironheart.:

First introduced in the comics by Brian K. Vaughn and Kyle Hotz, Robbins gets his powers from a set of cloak and boots found in a warehouse during a burglary job. Because of his personal life (a mother in the hospital and a pregnant wife at home), Robbins had to take part in the robbery to help his family. These objects weren’t merely clothes but belonged to a demonic creature called Nisanti. After shooting it in the head and believing it to be dead, Robbins proceeded to take these objects. Later during an encounter with thugs, the creature’s boots made him fly, escaping them. Robbins’ idea was to initially sell the cloak and boots, but he ended up using them for his own interests.

Although Hood is a supervillain with magical powers, he is usually seen carrying a pistol or two, which is possible to notice in the set pictures that were leaked on the web. The Direct raises an interesting argument. If during Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man trilogy the superhero only faced more science-related villains (Iron Monger, Whiplash, Justin Hammer, and Aldrich Killian), Riri Willams may face a different kind on her show. Magical beings are not new to the MCU, but seeing how her series will be different from the previous Iron Man could be really interesting.

Ramos joins fellow actors Dominique Thorne (Riri Williams) and Alden Ehrenreich (the character not confirmed yet) in the show that will premiere, according to Marvel, in Fall 2023.
