Who Do We Want To See Return For ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3?

The ending of Season 2 of The Mandalorian brought a surprise appearance by Luke Skywalker. With season 3 of The Mandalorian coming to Disney+ in the near future, fans are excited as to who might return to the show for the newest season.

6. Grogu

It is very likely that Grogu will return to The Mandalorian in Season 3. Following the events that occurred in The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu has been reunited with the Mandalorian Din Djarin. After his training with Luke, it will be interesting to see what Grogu has learned from the Jedi Master. How much will his Force powers increase and what adventures will the pair go on?

5. Boba Fett

Considering the events of The Book of Boba Fett, it is likely that we will see the return of Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 3. Boba Fett and Din Djarin worked together in Season 2 in their rescue of Grogu. Since Din Djarin has returned the favor and helped Fett in The Book of Boba Fett, it is highly likely that the crime lord will make an appearance in Season 3.

4. Moff Gideon

Moff Gideon first appeared late in Season 1 of The Mandalorian and took on a bigger role in Season 2 when he kidnapped Grogu. Actor Giancarlo Esposito has compared his character to “a phoenix rising from the ashes”. He will definitely play an even bigger role in Season 3 as he continues his hunt for Grogu and wages his personal vendetta against Din Djarin.

3. Grand Admiral Thrawn

Over the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, Star Wars fans have gotten to see many favorite characters from other eras of the series. One character that has yet to make his way into live-action is Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Thrawn first appeared in Timothy Zahn’s The Thrawn Trilogy novels. He also appeared in the final two seasons of Star Wars: Rebels. With rumors of his being in the upcoming Ahsoka, he will be an exciting addition to Season 3 of The Mandalorian. There is already a long list of potential actors for the role.

2. Luke Skywalker

Even though Luke Skywalker gave Grogu the choice to return back to Din Djarin, it is possible that we have not seen the last of the Jedi Master. The CGI version of young Luke Skywalker has received acclaim and fans are looking forward to seeing more of him.

His return to Season 3 would allow fans to see more character development and also provide us with more answers as to how he became the person we see in The Last Jedi.

1. Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano was another character that received a lot of fanfare for her appearances in Season 2 of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. She was essential in pointing Din Djarin in a direction of where he could get Grogu the Jedi training he needed. As she is starring in her own series, an appearance in Season 3 of The Mandalorian would be a perfect primer for that show.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2023, on Disney+ and will consist of eight episodes. The show is certainly worth the wait and will like even have more surprises in store for fans.
