Disney Channel has, through the years, created several memorable series and original movies with unique and interesting villains. This article will discuss five of the best or most memorable villains featured on the Disney channel over the years, featuring movies and television series such as Phineas and Ferb, Kim Possible, Gargoyles, Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior, and Gravity Falls.

5. Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz/Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz 2 ('Phineas and Ferb', 'Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across the Second Dimension' )

Phineas and Ferb’s resident mad scientist is one of the more memorable Disney Channel villains. His chronically hapless and unsuccessful plans to take over the Tri-State area put him into direct conflict with Phineas and Ferb’s pet Platypus, Perry, who, unbeknownst to them, is a secret agent (“Agent P”), who is assigned to thwart Dr. Doofenschmirtz’s nefarious plans in nearly every episode of the series. Doofenschmirtz is a unique villain in the sense that he is not pure evil and is occasionally capable of selfless and compassionate acts such as saving cats, stopping his (more) evil doppelganger from killing Phineas and Ferb while in the 2nd Dimension, and even enlisting Perry’s help in finding his daughter, Vanessa.

Dr. Doofenschmirtz’s (more) evil doppelgänger, Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz 2 from the 2nd Dimension succeeded where the other Dr. Doofenschmirtz constantly failed. He defeated Perry the Playtapus and turned him into a subservient cyborg and he fulfilled his lifelong dream of taking over the Tri-State area, with dreams of taking over in the other dimension as well.  When Doofenschmirtz 2 attempted to invade the boys’ dimension his plans were ultimately thwarted by Phineas and Ferb, Perry (who revealed his true identity to Phineas and Ferb in the process), and even his own counterpart from the 1st Dimension after he helped heal one of his childhood traumas that originally turned him to evil.

4. Shego ('Kim Possible')

Shego is a hot-tempered villain who often (but not exclusively)works for the evil Dr. Drakken to steal things for him and protect him, which puts her at odds with Kim Possible and her allies. She and her family had inadvertently become superheroes but she was drawn to evil and left her family's superhero team. Although she is Drakken’s subordinate, she is frequently openly critical of his plans, either considering them too personal or too lowbrow, and sometimes even overrules Drakken when she thinks he is wrong.

3. David Xanatos ('Gargoyles')

David Xanatos is a wealthy, competent, and calculating industrialist (think an evil Tony Stark) who seeks immortality by any means necessary. This often puts him at odds with Goliath and his clan of fellow Gargoyles, although Xanatos also allies himself with them when his interests are at stake. Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T. Riker) voices Xanatos and the series features several other Star Trek alums.

2. Yan-Lo ('Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior')

Featured in the 2006 live-action Disney Channel original movie, Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior, Yan-Lo is a creepy terracotta warrior with bright green eyes. He seeks world domination and has the supernatural ability to possess other beings, even pets, and imbue them with superhuman strength. Wendy Wu is tasked with stopping him from achieving world domination.

1. Bill Cipher ('Gravity Falls')

While many villains love to boast of their ability to destroy the world, very few can do so. However, in Bill Cipher’s case, this interdimensional demon’s abilities, which include mind reading and warping reality, are shown to cause a lot of damage once freed, making his Gravity Falls character a particularly dangerous villain.
