Here’s how we see the second part of this three-part series.

14. License To Kill – License to Kill By Gladys Knight

A true throwback song to rival most of the classic Bond themes during the Connery and even Moore eras. The song is a sweeping epic with a heavy late 80s vibe. The slowed-down Bond theme which carries the song is definitely what keeps this song high on the list.

13. Tomorrow Never Dies – Tomorrow Never Dies By Sheryl Crow

Maybe this is just some of my bias coming through, but I love anything that Sheryl Crow does, so when I found her to be the singer of the song, I was over the moon. She plays this song like some that came before. The way she drives the song with a smokey delivery ties back to both the main Bond theme and the overall title.

12. From Russia With Love – From Russia With Love By Matt Monro

Coming out of Dr. No where there was a weak theme and no title sequence to speak of, the second bond film in the franchise set the tone for everything that came after by having a theme that told us what this movie is called and what we can expect from Bond.

11. Casino Royale – You Know My Name By Chris Cornell

In probably one of the best transitions from movie to title theme in any genre, the guitar chords we get immediately after seeing James Bond receive his license to kill and then a theme song where we definitely know his name makes this an instant classic.

10. Spectre – Writing’s On The Wall By Sam Smith

Another Oscar winner is performed to such power by British artist Sam Smith, they truly nailed the quintessential Bond theme, and as a follow-up to the powerful Skyfall from Adele, they truly made a great piece of music.

9. Thunderball – Thunderball By Tom Jones

Tom Jones both figuratively and literally left it all out on the floor for this song, as there are rumours that Tom fainted, hitting the high note at the end of the song during the recording. But the song also carried a lot of weight just in the scope and feeling of grandeur you get listening to the song.

8. For Your Eyes Only – For Your Eyes Only By Sheena Easton

Sheena Easton was a musical sensation throughout the early 80s. Her theme was a perfect mix of everything you come to expect from a Bond theme but given an 80s slant which keeps this theme timeless.

7. A View To A Kill – A View To A Kill By Duran Duran

While a couple themes came very close to being #1 on the charts, Duran Duran’s theme is the only one to actually chart at number 1. Now, this could speak more to the fanbase of Duran Duran, but the theme was pure 80s from the opening note to the end. The final film of Moore’s run as Bond is a lot of fans’ favourite movie and theme song.

6. You Only Live Twice – You Only Live Twice By Nancy Sinatra

The swirling opening to this song sweeps you away to the world of the movie, and you get where we are going to be for the film. Nancy truly keeps us engaged, and the title sequence draws the eyes as well as the ears.
