Who Does Former Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson Play In The 'Bad Batch' Episode 4?
Episode 4 of The Bad Batch introduced us to the planet Safa Toma, the dangerous high-speed world of Riot Racing, and the tantalizingly delicious prospect of something called Nerf Nuggets. It also introduced us to a new villainous gangster, Grini Millegi, played by none other than Ernie Hudson. Hudson is best known for playing loveable everyman Winston Zeddemore in the original Ghostbusters series. In “Faster” we get to see him lend his frankly beautiful baritone to the Dowutin male criminal, who shares some sort of checkered history with the Cid.
We did not find out too much about Millegi in this episode, presumably as he may appear in later episodes, but he is clearly not someone to be trifled with. Always flanked by an array of gun-toting thugs, and with a physical presence that gives even Wrecker pause, he is a formidable foe for the Bad Batch.

The most interesting element of this character's appearance in “Faster” is his warning to Tech, Omega, and Wrecker to watch their backs when it comes to Cid. This hints that their previous relationship did not end well, and Cid’s lack of retort of usual sass suggests that Millegi may actually be the aggrieved party. While we know there is no honor among thieves, hopefully, we will find out what caused this falling out in a later episode, and learn more about Ms. Scaleback’s history.
Star Wars may be the latest in Hudson’s science fiction and fantasy adventures, but he has touched almost every big-name franchise in some way over his acting career. Aside from Ghostbusters, its sequel, and reboot (and of course the seminal music video of the same name), he has had guest appearances in Batman: The Animated Series, The Crow, Heroes, Torchwood, Transformers, Twin Peaks, Spiderman, Superman, and Quantum Leap. However, he will always have a special place in my heart as FBI Assistant Director McDonald in Miss Congeniality.
