Perhaps the Darksaber should step aside. There’s another weapon in the Star Wars universe with some interesting lore and history attached. Introduced in the finale of the first season of Ahsoka, the Blade of Talzin was produced from the "mouth" of the hilt and was wreathed in green flames of magical ichor. According to Wookieepedia, Talzin’s sword can resist lightsaber strikes, unlike many weapons in the Star Wars universe. This was seen in the battle between Morgan Elsbeth and Ahsoka.

A unique feature of the Blade of Talzin is its physical build. Mother Talzin originally created the blade through her Nightsister Magick. The green mist surrounding the Blade represents the Nightsister’s Magick summoned from their home planet Dathomir. Upon the Blade’s creation, the Magick could take the form of any object they wanted, it could be considered that Mother Talzin utilized this Magick to create the Blade on a whim. Despite this notion, Talzin’s sword was used by formidable foes to face their respective and worthy adversaries.

As the Clone Wars raged, Mother Talzin gained the support of the Frangawl Clan, who came to worship her as the Great Mother. As the Great Mother, Mother Talzin and the Frangawl Clan gathered the Living Force from several Dagoyan Masters. kidnapped Queen Julia of Bardotta, and brought her to the Temple of Malmourral to steal her life force. As Talzin arrived and the ritual began, she was confronted by Jedi Master Mace Windu and Jar Jar Binks. Summoning her sword from the mist, Talzin prepared to duel Mace Windu. During this time, Jar Jar freed Julia and shattered the sphere containing Julia’s stolen life force. The result was a massive explosion and Mother Talzin and the Blade disappeared amid the chaos.

The sword's whereabouts were unknown after the Nightsister’s equivalent of Order 66 until it was summoned again in the season finale of Ahsoka. Nonetheless, its legacy of destruction and death would continue as Morgan Elsbeth would use the Blade of Talzin to battle Ahsoka. A great battle as the Blade was able to not only resist Ahsoka’s blows but also destroy one of her white sabers. Almost equal in terms of skill, Elsbeth and Ahsoka used each other’s weapons to their advantage. The difference was that Ahsoka used Talzin’s Blade to kill Morgan. Upon her death, the Blade was all but forgotten.
