In 2024, cinema attendees witnessed the return of several IPs, including Moana 2, Inside Out 2, and the box office hit Sonic the Hedgehog 3 along with the musical phenomenon Wicked and surprising animated films like The Wild Robot. Now, Hollywood is choosing the best of the best with their annual Golden Globes Awards. Competing against two Disney movies, Flow took top spot in Best Animated Picture. Wicked claimed the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. Colin Farrell brought DC Studios to the limelight with his performance in The Penguin

The Brutalist was by a big winner, receiving awards in Best Actor in a Drama via Adrien Brody, Best Director for Brady Corbet, and Best Drama. Emilia Pérez claimed four awards: Best Non-English Language Picture, Best Musical or Comedy, Best Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña, and Best Original Song “El Mal.” Saldaña’s fellow Marvel star Sebastian Stan was named the winner in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in A Different Man.
