'Choo-Choo Charles' Might Be The Best Thing To Come Out Of Summer Game Fest
Several games were announced during Summer Game Fest's kickoff. One particular game pulled ahead of the rest not because of its AAA status, but because it is absolute nightmare fuel. We are, of course, talking about Two Star Games' newest release, Choo Choo-Charles. While the title does little to inspire fear, the game itself is horrific. The main antagonist, a sentient evil train named Charles, has not only steel spider-like legs but also a clown's face on a train engine. If that's not bad enough there is also a backwoods shotgun-wielding cult trying to sacrifice you to Charles.
The trailer has the player ride around an island on an old beat-up yellow train outfitted with all sorts of weapons to keep Charles at bay. The real terror, however, is that while the yellow train you call home is running on a track, Charles knows no such boundaries. In the trailer, you see him climb various forms of terrain. There is also the cult I mentioned earlier that will try to capture you at every opportunity.

Two Star Games, the developer of Choo-Choo Charles, describes the game as an open-world horror game. The company's sole employee, Gavin Eisenbeisz, is very happy to share what he has spent so much time lovingly building during the presentation. Perhaps that is because a man who devised a train/clown/spider hybrid knows no real fears like public speaking. All we can say for sure at this time is that Choo-Choo Charles is set to release sometime this year although the trailer states early 2022. Seeing as we are halfway into the year, we assume it will come a bit later.
Imagine the horror on the faces of children (and some adults) everywhere when they are exposed to all their childhood fears rolled into one horrific amalgamation. Wouldn’t that make a great gift if the game were to release in time for the holiday season?
