Marvel Announces New WWII Captain America And Black Panther Game At D23
The D23 Expo dropped some exciting news for Marvel gamers. Skydance New Media released a teaser trailer for a Captain America and Black Panther team-up video game.
The trailer opens with gorgeous shots of Paris while Vera Lynn’s “We’ll Meet Again” plays in the background. The trailer takes an ominous turn as the camera enters a building and zooms in on a gun lying on top of Hydra files with a Hydra military cap next to it. The shot then pans to an iconic red, white, and blue shield with a single white star and several scratches. Black Panther appears in the next shot, seemingly confronting someone wearing the shield on his back and another figure.

The untitled game will feature four characters: the king Black Panther, Captain America, the soldier Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos, and the spy Naneli who leads the newly formed Wakandan Spy Network. Set against the backdrop of World War II, these four characters will team up to take on Hydra and most likely the Nazis. However, despite the team-up, this untitled game will not feature co-op gameplay.
The director Amy Henning, who worked as a creative director on the Uncharted games, says this game will be like a “living room experience,” meaning the player playing in front of the television will likely become enthralled in the story.
