As the days inch closer to the season 3 premiere of Superman & Lois, it was somewhat inevitable that images from what’s already been filmed would be made public. Whether through official release or in this case, not. Of what was known for the upcoming season, fans were most probably itching for some look at Michael Bishop, who is the actor taking over the role of Jonathan Kent, one of Clark and Lois’s two sons.

In August, it was announced that Jordan Elsass, who played the role for the series’s first two seasons, would not be returning. This was reportedly due to personal reasons, believed to be in regards to COVID vaccine refusal, but Elsass has stated it was mental health. He had also missed the deadline to return to Vancouver to commence production. Bishop was quickly cast thereafter. His most notable role to date had been as Max in the 2021 Disney Channel Original Movie Spin.
